JOB DESCRIPTION

The Team at South City Wine are looking for a Bar Manager who’s ready to lead the program, inspire the team, and bring fresh creativity to the mix. Perfect for an experienced leader or a passionate young leader that's ready to take the next step.

About South City Wine

With its old-world charm and dimly lit setting, South City Wine is enticing and intimate, with a collection of romanticism-style oil paintings, dark timber panelling and emerald green marble table tops.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the bar and beverage program from concept to service

  • Create innovative cocktails and seasonal menus

  • Work and support the VM on the wine program

  • Manage suppliers, ordering, COGS & stock control

  • Train, mentor & motivate the bar team

  • Deliver exceptional service and guest experiences

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Cocktail Bartender
Bar Manager
Bar Supervisor

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

What we’re after

  • 2 + years’ bar or leadership experience

  • Strong cocktail, wine & spirit knowledge

  • Confident, hands-on & guest-focused

  • Excellent communication & team leadership

  • Current RSA & full working rights
